Chessington Community College is a long established school, but as is often the case when competition increases, our client felt their profile within the local community was not aligned with the achievements of the school. Concept4 were delighted to be invited to work with Chessington Community College to raise the school’s profile within its core catchment areas and more importantly those catchment areas they ‘should do better in’ for the current year 7 recruitment period.
Whilst the school’s logo was to remain unchanged, creating a fresh brand which would be distinctive was important. Following initial briefing meetings concepts were developed and approved. These were strongly image led, with clear messaging and a striking colour palette which naturally evolved from their existing branding.
Parallel to this a clear programme of activity was required as Concept4 looked to manage the development and implementation of a profile raising strategy, this included:
- Development of brand guidelines with various templates
- Bus advertising
- Press advertising and editorial
- Advertising in key locations within the community, for example the local train station
- Postcode targeted mailers
- Radio advertising
- Leaflets tailored for both parents and students
- Outdoor banners
- New prospectus
By undertaking the work to plan, develop and place all the marketing material generated for a successful campaign, Concept4 have worked very closely with the school to become an extension of their team.
